I finally got the 450 up and running. Took her out on her first long ride last Friday which was about a fifty mile loop, and rode her to work all week. She died on my once when the timing advance lost a spring, but I got her back up. I still need to re jet the carbs as she’s running a bit lean when I’m at partial throttle as a result of the pod filters and shorty exhaust. She is a lot of fun.
The transmission on the truck is burned up, but I'm going to wait until the end of summer to get her back up and running.

It's a 1973 Honda CL450. Not as popular as the 350 as it uses torsion bars instead of springs and it's a DOHC engine so it's a bit heavier. Look up Brat style bikes and you'll get an idea of what I'm going for. It's Japan's take on a chopper.

Sick bike. How is the stopping power with that front drum? What does it weigh?

Stopping power ain’t too great especially if you’re used to modern bikes. I always leave lots of reaction time when riding old bikes. I’ll probably convert it to a front disk in the future. It weighed about 399 lbs with a half tank of fuel when new per the manual. I’ve stripped a lot of stuff off, so it is probably around 375 lbs. It’s a DOHC engine so it’s a little heavier than Honda’s other engines from that time period.

Sounds like an interesting challenge but not unsafe. Can’t be much worst than my StreetBob. Haha.
